About 3 on 3 Hockey ~ it is a great time for competition and honing skills. As you know playing on a small ice surface develops quick reaction, gives players more touches of the puck and helps with skating skills by quicker stops and starts. 3 on 3 is a unique brand of hockey, which allows for quicker games and faster action that’s played on a smaller ice surface. This in turn promotes our goal of good old-fashioned fun and at the same time develops a higher quality of skill level and play.

· Each team will have 9 skaters and one goalie

• 7 games throughout the summer, low cost!

• Games will consist of two 20 minute periods of running time with a break in between
• One face-off at the start of the game

SCORING

When a team scores the puck comes out of the net and given back to the team who was scored on, while the opposing team clears the zone to resume play.

PENALTIES

If a penalty is assessed, there is no time served at the end of the game. The opposing team will be given a penalty shot.

League Rules

• No slap shots at any level.
• No checking! Checking is a minor penalty. If a player checks repeatedly, a major penalty will be assessed.
• Minor penalties will result in a penalty shot for the opposing team.
• Major penalties will result in a three-minute penalty and a game misconduct.
• Fighting will result in a League disqualification for the player. No exceptions.
• No parents on the bench except for one parent per team for Mites.
• Micro Ice will provide Jerseys.
• Game tiebreakers will be a shoot-out.
• The centerline will be used for offside purposes. The tag-up rule is used.

League Format

Tuesdays, starting July 1st:

10am= All  Mites

11am= Squirts

1pm= Pewees

2pm= Bantams

The Playing days are (all Tuesdays):

July 1st, July 15th, July 22nd, July 29th, August 12th, August 19th, August 26th

Elite Skill Development is an advanced skill development program for players 11 and above. Players will go through an intense 10 week program that teaches advanced skills, ranging from stickhandling at high speeds to shooting in stride.

The classes will be strictly limited to 8 players.

ESD Clinics will be highly competitive and only students who are focused and dedicated to getting better can participate.

A Unique chance to prepare yourself in a smaller size group with Legendary Skills Instructor Paul Vincent, known to be the best teacher/on-ice coach in the hockey world!

This Group have very limited spots and it's on a first come, first served basis. This is a very intense and hard program and only those who are dedicated should sign up.

Program Highlights:

-7 weeks of training Starting Second week of July

-21 total hours on the ice.

-Intense Power Hockey all the way through.

There will be 3 hours per week, 1 on Friday and 2 on Sunday.

 Fridays 11am-12pm

Sundays 4pm-6pm

 P.S: Starting week (Second week of July, the Friday hour will be done on Saturday the 12th)

-Edgework, inside and outside edges

-Crossovers

-Balance

-Correct Striding Method

The Techniques used in this program have proven to work for any age-level and anyone signed up will improve every aspect of their skating.

This Program is made to teach skating, no pucks will be used.
